As you lift your camera to capture the first light kissing the snow-capped peaks, you’ll feel a sense of calm and connection to nature that is truly unique to this place. This week-long Snow Photography Workshop offers more than just a chance to refine your skills; it’s an opportunity to immerse yourself fully in the rugged, untouched beauty of the Australian Alps.

Our base, nestled in the charming village of Dinner Plain, is just a stone’s throw from the Mt Hotham summit. From here, we will explore the surrounding areas, where the landscape offers an ever-changing palette of textures and colours — from the ancient high-country huts that whisper stories of the past to the glistening trunks of the snow gums that stand tall against the backdrop of endless snowy ridges.

The days will be filled with adventure and discovery. We’ll trek through pristine wilderness, capturing the stark contrasts and subtle nuances of winter’s grip on the landscape. And then, for the ultimate thrill, we’ll take to the skies in a helicopter, doors off, to photograph the breathtaking vistas from above, where the sheer scale and majesty of the high country unfolds beneath you.

Evenings will be spent in the comfort of private accommodation in the heart of the village, where gourmet meals will nourish both body and spirit, and the camaraderie of fellow photographers will inspire and motivate.
