JOIN US FOR A WILDLIFE ADVENTURE IN THE
NORTHERN TERRITORY
Join our Top End wildlife photography workshop as we explore some of the most diverse and productive ecosystems in the Northern Territory, starting around Darwin’s coastal fringes. We begin at Buffalo Creek and Lee Point, where tidal flats, mangroves, and coastal birdlife offer incredible opportunities for dynamic compositions, especially in the soft light of early morning and late afternoon. These locations are perfect for capturing shorebirds, raptors, and the ever-changing textures of the intertidal zone.
From there we move into the sheltered harbour and parkland environments of East Point Reserve, where wallabies, seabirds, and dramatic coastline scenes provide a rich contrast to the wetlands. We then head inland to the iconic floodplains of Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, one of the most reliable wildlife photography locations in Australia, where magpie geese, jabiru, and crocodiles can often be photographed in close proximity, particularly during golden hour when reflections and backlight transform the landscape.
Deeper into the Top End, we explore the vast wetland systems of Corroboree Billabong and the world-renowned waterways of Yellow Water Billabong, where dense birdlife, crocodiles, and mirrored sunrise scenes create unforgettable photographic moments. We round out the journey in the historic outback township of Pine Creek, where rugged landscapes and remnants of the gold rush era add a dramatic final chapter to an immersive wildlife and landscape photography experience through Australia’s tropical north.
